Podcast: INTC, XSD, XHB, GS, WDC, PCP, FWLT

In this podcast, we continue our series on Using SwingLines and Invivo.RMI Indicators and How Does The Stock Scan Work?

We feature Intel (INTC), SPDR S&P Semiconductor (XSD), SPDR S&P Homebuilders (XHB) and Goldman Sachs (GS) as examples of stocks that were at the bottom of the list in the recent past. As a bonus, we looked at WDC, PCP and FWLT, stocks that appeared on using our Trading Ideas for Wednesday.

We also discussed the role decision support tools play in the life of a discretionary trader. Articles referred to are as follows:

SPDR S&P Homebuilders (XHB)

In January 2008 we did a blog post on the Homebuilders and how they were potentially entering the “Wall of Worry” phase of the Investor Sentiment Cycle. You can look at the financial media articles that were posted in there to get a ‘feel’ of what the mood was like. Seems like the mood on Homebuilders has changed once again….

Thanks a lot for the podcast. This is definitively one of my favorites.

I like a lot the concept of divergence from a different light. Divergence between sentiment in head lines and price action. Also that this comes from the tops or from the bottoms as one trade setup.

The other important concept was looking in the middle or looking at the ends of the list.

Thanks a lot Teresa and Pete,

    Daniel
