A stock scan performed after Friday’s close for “the cross” found two stocks that might be instructive:
PepsiCo, Inc. (NYSE:PEP))
CommScope, Inc. (NYSE:CTV)
The 50/200 “Cross”

What you should do with these ideas are up to you. While we personally don’t trade based on this criteria, it always good to watch to see if traders take action. Quite often, the best trades follow the [...]

Rakesh (September 16, 2008):
Where do you think we are in the Investor Sentiment Cycle for the US Markets? A Panic?
Teresa:
Seems like it. You can see them panicking all over the TV today!
Rakesh:
2B test of bottom on the daily s&p, naz and dow, no? Looks like a good stop run and reversal to trap shorts?
Teresa:
It’s also a 2B on the weekly, so there is time… I provided my no-holds-barred opinion earlier this week as to where we are in the Investor Sentiment Cycle.

Forget the drama of this week for a moment. Which cornfield would you take your kids to?
This one?
An image of ‘American Idol’ television star David Archuleta titled “Archuleta 4 President” provides the design for the 13th Annual Cornbelly’s Corn Maze and Pumpkin Fest at Thanksgiving Point on Wednesday, Sept. 24, in Lehi.
Or this one?
A 16-acre corn maze near the town of Whitehouse — south-west of Toledo — has been carved in Palin’s likeness, complete with her familiar updo hairstyle and eyeglasses.

WSJ.com reports, “Agreement Reached On Bailout Bill: Congress reached tentative agreement on bailout bill that approves $700 billion fund, but would pay in installments. Bush is meeting with leaders and said he hopes a deal will be reached shortly.”
Of course, Senator Shelby — who has been waving around a five-page document from famous economists against the proposal all day — just came out two minutes ago and said, “I don’t believe we’ve reached a deal.” Politics.
Meanwhile, Research In Motion missed and the stock cratered. As we wrote last week, something was not right.

Following U.S. President Bush’s address to the nation last night (which was broadcast live on Canadian radio, no less), I sent an email to all of our members that started like this:
Please accept my apologies for intruding on your evening.
I am writing tonight in reaction to the turn of events over the past few days, from the televised Senate Banking Committee hearings to George Bush’s live speech of tonight.
While I strongly advocate holding the course for long term investments, there may be times — like right now — where it may be more prudent to take a [...]

When Iranian President Ahmadinejad went on Charlie Rose a month ago, his appearance was drowned out by the Olympics and the Democratic convention.
He’s back, and making headlines:
“American empire in the world is reaching the end of its road, and its next rulers must limit their interference to their own borders,” Ahmadinejad said.
. . .
During interviews ahead of his speech Tuesday, Ahmadinejad blamed U.S. military interventions around the world in part for the collapse of global financial markets. He said the campaign against his country’s nuclear program was solely due to the Bush administration “and a couple [...]
